Discover How to Decode Your Blood Tests and Uncover What Doctors Often Miss

You don't have a diagnosed condition, but you're not well.

Are your "normal" blood test Results actually hiding your health issues?

You’re proactive about your health, but you’re still not feeling your best. Your doctor says your blood test results are “normal,” but you know something’s off. You’re not alone. Many women are told their blood test results are fine when they’re far from it. Why? Because conventional medicine uses broad standard ranges that often miss underlying issues like nutrient deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, and more.
Normal Ranges Fall Short of how to be healthy - they only point to disease

This is why 'normal' ranges don't explain how you're feeling

Thyroid:
Normal range (0.5-5.0 mU/L) vs Functional range (1.3-2.0 mU/L)

Are you struggling with unexplained fatigue, weight gain, or hair loss? Your thyroid levels might be “normal” but conventional standards are flawed when looking for health. The functional range is narrower and designed to catch these issues early, so you can take action.

Iron:
Normal range (6-34 µmol/L) vs Functional range (15-23 µmol/L)

Feeling constantly tired or irritable? Standard ranges for iron are so broad that they often miss mild deficiencies or excesses.  Iron is required for energy and to stabilise our moods, making dopamine and serotonin.

Vitamin D:
Normal range (adequate > 75 nmol/L) vs Functional range (125 – 225 nmol/L)

A level of 75 may be considered “normal,” but is it optimal? The functional range aims for optimal health, especially for immune function, bone health and fertility.

Understanding the Unique Blood Test Ranges for Women

Why One Size Doesn't Fit All: The Importance of Gender-Specific Blood Test Ranges

Did you know that many blood test ranges are actually different for women than for men? Yet these crucial differences are often overlooked in standard medical practice. For example:

    • Haemoglobin: Women generally have lower levels than men. Standard Range for women: 140 to 150 g/L vs men: 138 to 172 g/L.

    • Ferritin: Lower levels in women can be a sign of iron-deficiency anaemia. Standard Range for women: 70-90 µg/L  vs men: 110-120  µg/L.

    • Creatinine: Typically lower in women due to less muscle mass. Standard Range for women: 70-90 µmol/L vs men: 70-115 µmol/L.

Understanding these gender-specific ranges is crucial for women, especially when it comes to diagnosing conditions like anaemia, kidney function, and more. Ignorance of these differences can lead to misdiagnosis and ineffective treatments.

But what truly sets this course apart is its laser focus on the often-overlooked nuances of blood tests, specifically through the lens of women’s unique physiological needs.
